How each headline metric is calculated and what period it compares against.

The tiles summarise the period you have selected. Every figure is calculated over a window resolved in your company's timezone, so it covers the days you actually traded rather than a UTC approximation of them.

The four headline tiles, in the order the dashboard renders them, with the period appended to each label. Only Revenue and Refunds carry a change badge — Revenue compares today vs yesterday and Refunds compares month vs previous month, which is why the two badges are not measuring the same thing. The period control offers Today, This Week (the default, and a rolling seven days rather than a calendar week), This Month and Custom Range. See Filters and date ranges.

If a number looks wrong

Check the company timezone first. A wrong timezone shifts every "today" in the platform at once — dashboard, sales history, COGS and invoice reminders alike.
