Recording payments

Payments are recorded against an invoice, and part payments are supported — an invoice that has received some money sits at partially_paid with the remaining balance still tracked.

Recording a payment requires the invoicing.payments permission, which supervisors and admins have by default.

If you have connected an accounting integration, recording a payment here marks the matching document paid there too. See Xero and QuickBooks Online.
