Data import

CSV import for customers, products, inventory and repair prices.

Data Import brings existing records in from CSV. Four kinds of data are supported:

  • Customers
  • Inventory — products and their stock
  • Repair prices — your own repair price list
  • plus a template download for each, so the column names are not guesswork

Start with the template

Download the template for the type you are importing and fill it in. It carries the exact columns the importer expects, which avoids the most common cause of a failed import.

Repair prices

A new company starts with an empty repair price list on purpose — the bundled catalogue belonged to one specific business. Importing your own is how the list gets built. See Repair pricing.

Exporting

The same screen exports your data back out to CSV, which is useful for bulk edits: export, change in a spreadsheet, import again.
