Customer privacy requests

Handling access, correction and deletion requests for customer data.

Erasure is anonymisation, not deletion

A customer record cannot be hard-deleted. Sales, repairs and invoices reference the customer, and deleting the row would either fail or — far worse, if it cascaded — destroy the trading history attached to it. Erasure therefore anonymises the record instead.

What erasure does

The record is marked erased and its personal details are removed. From that point it is excluded from customer lists, counts, revenue totals, visit totals and top-customer reporting. The sales and repairs that referenced it keep their integrity, so your accounts still add up.

Erasing twice

A record that has already been erased reports itself as erased rather than being processed again.
