Split payments

Choose Split on the payment screen to settle one sale with two methods. Pick the two methods, then enter the amount for the first; the second is filled in with whatever is left.

Surcharges on a split

Each leg carries its own method's surcharge, applied to that leg's share of the total rather than to the whole sale. Splitting half a sale onto a card with a 1% surcharge charges that 1% on half, not on all of it.

Rounding

Both legs are rounded to cents before anything is recorded, so a split never books an amount like $66.67000000000001 as the tendered figure.
