Activity log

The activity log is the per-product history of stock movements. Each entry records the store, the product, the staff member, the type of event, the change, the quantities before and after, and a reference back to the thing that caused it. The event types are sale, return, adjustment, stocktake, receiving, transfer_out and transfer_in — a transfer appears twice, once at each end.

It is the screen to open when a count looks wrong. Because adjustments carry their reason into the log, "why is this fifteen and not twenty?" usually has an answer with a name against it.
